Dealer Stories: Living the Lifestyle
Riding Out the Storm at the 2025 MidAtlantic
The MidAtlantic Tournament is one of the most prestigious offshore fishing events on the East Coast — a week where anglers test their skills, their gear, and their grit against some of the ocean’s toughest pelagics.
This year, our dealers Stone Harbor Marina and Garden State Yacht Sales came prepared to represent Everglades Boats with a 375CC, the newest addition to our 5-Series lineup and an ideal platform for serious offshore fishing.
But offshore angling doesn’t come without challenges. When Hurricane Erin pushed through, the MidAtlantic saw 12–14 foot seas and 30–50 mph winds. Even the largest sportfishing boats stayed tied up at the docks during the first few days of the tournament.
Our team rigged the 375CC and made every preparation to fish — but when conditions proved unsafe, the call was made to turn back. For anglers, that’s never an easy choice. But it was the right one. Seamanship isn’t just about chasing the bite; it’s about knowing when not to.
The MidAtlantic reminded us of something every offshore angler knows: the ocean sets the rules. We’re proud to have dealer partners like Stone Harbor Marina and Garden State Yacht Sales, who balance passion with respect for the sea — a mindset that keeps anglers safe to fish another day.
While the 375CC didn’t get its chance to prove itself offshore this time, there’s no doubt it’s ready for the next run when conditions allow. And if there’s one thing fishermen know, it’s that the ocean always gives us another shot.
