According to company President, Stephen Dougherty, “Everglades Commercial and Government Division will take advantage of our modern manufacturing facilities complete with a fabrication/metal shop, engineering team and quality production staff to quickly make an impact in the commercial marketplace.” “We will create the same type of market leading feature and benefit in our commercial products that have made our retail models so popular and we can do it all in house.”

EVERGLADES LAUNCHES FIRST COMMERCIAL BOAT

Edgewater, Fla. (June 22, 2009) – Everglades, a leading manufacturer of premium offshore and inshore boats, launched its first commercial vessel after developing and designing the product in less than one month.
The 35 Pilot, complete with triple 350 HP Yamaha engines, debuted at the Multi-Agency Craft Conference(MACC), June 16-18, 2009 in Norfolk, Virginia. The boat is fully rigged and ready to run. The pilot house features port and starboard sliding doors along with a rear window panel that manually retracts against the fiberglass hard top. The helm area effortlessly converts from an enclosed ventilated compartment to an open helm in seconds. Helm station flooring is built of durable anti-fatigue matting. The removable, port-side dive door stows neatly below the gunwale. Polished stainless hardware secures multiple lockable storage compartments. Shock-mitigating seating installed forward of the console, at the helm and aft, reduces stress to the body, a critical feature for members of any maritime profession who need to stay mentally and physically sharp over the course of a long day on patrol. The boat is gun-mount ready and heavily reinforced throughout to handle rigorous commercial demands. The transom features a heavy duty crash bar with lighting aft of the engines and just forward of the engine well is a rugged tow post assembly.

According to company President, Stephen Dougherty, “Our first prototype came together quickly and efficiently and is completely customizable for a variety of commercial, government and military applications. Our 35 Pilot showcases some of the many innovations our design and engineering team are capable of applying to the commercial marketplace.”
Preliminary performance has the boat running in excess of 60 MPH with full fuel, three people and limited stores. Everglades propulsion engineers anticipate similar results as the boat is rigged for different agency applications.
“Not only is this boat rugged in its design and feature as a commercial vessel, the function and versatility are paramount in its application across different maritime agencies.” Mike Collins, Everglades Commercial and Government Division Director.

Everglades currently has bids in on several commercial projects worldwide and expects to be in full production on a regular basis in the coming weeks.
