Job Description

This management position is responsible for ensuring the high quality construction fiberglass parts by leading a team of Laminators, Pre-Fabricators and Gel Coaters.  The position reports to the Production Manager and has the responsibility for staffing, scheduling and development of department employees.  The individual in the position will also be responsible for process improvement and efficient manufacturing initiatives. 

  • Responsibilities:

    Adheres to all company safety policies and requirements

    Evaluates manufacturing process; makes improvement recommendations and implements change

    Provides leadership, guidance and training to department employees; evaluates performance and makes personnel adjustments.

    Develops work assignments and schedules employees

    Communicates effectively with department employees and management

    Maintains a clean and organized work area

    Ensures finished products are protected from damage

    Ensures equipment is maintained in good working order

    Performs other duties as assigned

     

    Requirements:    

    3 years of previous fiberglass lamination and supervisory experience

    Proven ability to work with a safety-first attitude

    Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

    Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups

    Effective time management and availability to adjust schedule as needed

    Attention to detail

    Ability to lift, push and pull loads up to 40 pounds with or without assistance

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Ability to work in an office and non-climate controlled environment

    Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors; orally and in writing

    Availability to work additional hours as directed by management

Job Description

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient preparation of parts and equipment for the gel coating process.  Moves and positions parts to be gel coated by hand or with fork truck.  Assists Gel Coaters with application process.  Cleans, organizes and maintains work areas and equipment.       

  • Responsibilities:

    Prepares and positions molds for gel coating application

    Prepares work area and equipment for safe and efficient gel coat application

    Assists Gel Coaters with application process

Job Description

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient construction of fiberglass parts.  Constructs parts through the correct application of fiberglass mat, bracing and chopped fiberglass.  Ensures layers of fiberglass are correctly bonded through the use of hand rollers and other equipment.  Adheres to safety requirements by properly handling chemicals and wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.      

  • Responsibilities:

    Adheres to all company safety policies and requirements

    Properly handles, uses and disposes of chemicals 

    Follows lamination schedules to ensure parts are correctly constructed

    Ensures layers of fiberglass are correctly bonded

    Prepares work area and equipment for safe and efficient lamination process

    Protects finished products from contamination

    Ensures lamination equipment is maintained in good working order

Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the high quality construction and appearance of fiberglass parts.  The position inspect parts for defects and uses analysis to determine cause.  Identifies areas in need of re-work or adjustments and communicates findings.  Trains and educates Laminators and Finishers on proper procedures.  Samples products and audits them for accuracy.  Conducts testing of gel coat, resin and other chemicals to ensure the correct results are achieved.

 

  • Responsibilities:

    Adheres to all company safety policies and requirements

    Properly handles, uses and disposes of chemicals

    Properly uses power tools and testing equipment  

    Evaluates finished products and identifies areas requiring adjustment

    Performs quality control testing on various gel coats and chemicals

    Recommends improvements to standard operating procedures

    Maintains a clean and organized work area

    Protects finished products from damage

    Ensures equipment is maintained in good working order

    Performs other duties as assigned

This position is responsible for ensuring the high quality, finished appearance of fiberglass parts by adhering to safe and efficient finishing practices.  This position improves the appearance of parts by sanding and buffing surfaces using various compounds, hand and power tools.   Adheres to safety requirements by properly handling chemicals and wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.      

  • Responsibilities:

    Adheres to all company safety policies and requirements

    Properly handles, uses and disposes of chemicals 

    Operates power tools safely

    Identifies areas on parts in need of sanding or buffing
