Overview

Everglades Boats
Do you have performance data on my Everglades Boat? If so, how can I get it?
We offer you four outstanding power options - Honda, Suzuki, Mercury, and Yamaha. Performance data on outlines of unsinkable bay boats and offshore fishing boats is available on our Web site in the Performance Data section under each boat model.

What type of options do you offer on your boats?
We offer a variety of options depending on the boat model. Please refer to the Standards and Options section of each model on our Web site for a comprehensive list.

How do I determine the right size engine for my boat?
Please refer to the Performance Data section of out Web site under each boat model, where you will find useful test results. We also highly recommend that you contact your local Everglades Boats dealer to determine the best matching outboard for your boat, depending on your specific needs. To locate the dealer nearest you, please visit the Dealer Locator on our Web site.

What kind of trailer do you recommend for my Everglades boat?
Your local dealer is trained to help determine the best trailer for the Everglades boat based on a number of factors. We highly recommend buying a trailer from your local dealer, as you will benefit from local servicing. To locate the dealer nearest you, please visit the Dealer Locator on our Web site.

What is my used Everglades boat worth?
Your local dealer should be able to help you determine the value of your used boat. In addition, you can visit Web sites specializing in used boat pricing such as boats.com, boatxchange.com and traderonline.com.

What do I need to do to winterize my Everglades boat?
We suggest that you take your boat to your local Everglades dealer for service, where an authorized technician can perform various end-of-season and winterizing procedures. These include:
  • Stabilizing the fuel (or draining the fuel system completely).
  • Fogging the carburetor and cylinders.
  • Changing the engine oil and lower unit oil.
  • Lubricating the fittings.
  • Draining water systems and water tanks.
  • Draining toilet and holding tanks and flushing with anti-freeze.
  • Removing batteries and storing in an area protected from freezing temperatures.
In addition, we also recommend thoroughly cleaning the hull, deck, cockpit, bilge and storage lockers, which should stay open until they are completely dry, and then covering the boat.

Should you choose to perform the end-of-season services yourself, be sure to carefully read and follow the instructions in your owners manual for both your Everglades boat and motor.

Which of your boat models are best for offshore use vs. inshore use?
If you're looking for a hard-core, offshore fishing machine packed with creature comforts for friends and family, look no further than our line of outstanding offshore fishing boats, including the 350LX, 350cc, 320cc and the award-winning 290 Pilot. Our offshore line was built to handle the roughest sea conditions, in comfort and style.

Our unsinkable bay boats are ideally designed for inland waterways as well as rough seas. The combination of deep V-hull and Dougherty-designed reverse chine allows for a stable and dry ride, even in the sharpest of turns. We currently offer two models with outstanding rough-water handling capabilities: the Everglades 243cc and 223cc..

RAMCAP Construction
What is RAMCAP technology?
Industry legend Bob Dougherty spent more than 40 years designing some of the most recognized and successful boats on the market. Bob and his son, Stephen, started Everglades Boats to build a full line of versatile family fishing boats using the patented RAMCAP construction process.

RAMCAP (Rapid Molded Core Assembly Process) bonds the hull, deck and structural core together under extreme pressure to deliver a truly unsinkable boat that will sustain its integrity in the roughest sea conditions.

In addition to providing incredible stability and unsinkability, RAMCAP eliminates air voids between the deck and hull, giving every Everglades more interior room and exceptional fit and finish. A further guarantee of the boats' quality is Everglades Boats 10-year transferable limited hull warranty.

What is the difference between RAMCAP and conventional fiberglass boat building?
Conventional fiberglass boat manufacturers inject or spray foam between the deck and hull to achieve flotation. With RAMCAP, the opposite takes place: a pre-molded high-density closed-cell urethane core is chemically bonded to the hull and deck to create a strong, unsinkable, one-piece boat. Each core is inspected prior to bonding to ensure its integrity.
